Standard Diets

Standard diets are comprised of natural “multi-nutrient” ingredients—largely grains—in which each ingredient may provide many different nutrients.

Select Verified Rodent Diets

LabDiet® Select Verified Rodent Diets are researched formulas designed to meet the unique research requirements within individual institutions. These diets use a managed formulation approach that begins with strict ingredient specifications, enhanced ingredient testing, controlled manufacturing processes, and finished product analysis to help minimize nutrient variability. Available in pelleted or extruded forms, including irradiated options, these diets provide added confidence for nutrition-sensitive and imaging-based research studies.

Irradiated Diets

LabDiet® also offers PicoLab® diets. All diets with this name are irradiated prior to leaving the facility. This eliminates the need to autoclave a diet. Unlike autoclavable diets, irradiated diets do not need to be fortified with select vitamins because there is very minimal to no loss during the irradiation process.
